Overview:

This SOP outlines the steps involved in processing dependent visa applications for employees' family members. The process is divided into three phases, with each phase consisting of specific tasks that need to be completed within designated timescales. The responsible parties for each task are clearly identified to ensure accountability and smooth workflow.

Please Note:
  1. For Entry Permit Issued (Visa Applicant Outside UAE):

- It is mandatory to have the visa copy and passport stamped by Immigration Authority for entry record purposes to ensure smooth Resident Visa Application Process.

- Refrain from utilizing the Smart Gates.

  1. For Entry Permit Issued (Visa Applicant Inside UAE):

- If any plans of traveling, advise the team ahead to avoid using the Change Status option.

  1. Highlighted Steps in Gray:

- In unavoidable cases where the visa applicant needs to leave UAE while the visa application is in progress (Visa Package Cost Applied as it is), a visa cancellation process shall be required before the visa applicant can re-enter UAE.

PHASES & PROCESS STEPS


PHASE 1: Initial Application and Entry Permit

1. Sponsor E-File Opening (Sponsor is Required in Country)

- Responsible: Kounted/ADGM/Employee

- Timescale: 1 workday

- Remarks: Subject to ICA Approval


2. Entry Permit Application

- Responsible: Kounted

- Timescale: 2 workdays

- Remarks: Subject to ICA Approval


3. Change Status (Ensure stamping of the Entry Permit by Immigration Authority at the time of arrival)

- Responsible: Kounted/ADGM/Employee

- Timescale: 3 workdays

- Remarks:

- For entry permit issued while Visa Applicant is outside UAE.

- Mandatory to have visa copy and passport stamped by Immigration Authority for entry record purposes.



PHASE 2: Medical and Biometric

1. Visa Medical - Screening

- Responsible: Kounted/ADGM

- Timescale: 1 workday

- Remarks:

- Subject to Visa Applicant Availability.

- VIP Medical can be opted for expedite process.


2. Medical Insurance Application and Card Issuance (Client to Arrange) & Emirates ID Application

- Responsible: Kounted/ADNIC

- Timescale: 5 workdays

- Remarks: For new residence visa applicant only.


3. Emirates Biometric Collection - Fingerprint

- Responsible: Kounted/Employee/ADGM Office

- Timescale: 1 workday



PHASE 3: Visa Approval and Issuance

1. Residence Visa Approval

- Responsible: Kounted/ADGM

- Timescale: 1 workday


2. Emirates ID Card Issuance

- Responsible: Kounted

- Timescale: 3 workdays

- Remarks: Optional, can be couriered to applicant outside UAE.
