- CORP SUPPORT # APPOINTMENT AND/OR CESSATION OF BENEFICIAL OWNERS
Purpose:
This
application form must be submitted by ADGM registered entities to update the
details of its ultimate beneficial owners with the ADGM RA.
Legal Entities:
Companies,
Partnerships, Foundations, DLT Foundations
Questions:
1) Have
there been any changes to the name and/or nationality of the UBO? If so, see
supporting documents section for required documents.
2)
Verify with the client which details have changed for the UBO – compare to the
current details on file and on the ADGM RA entity profile.
3)
Do we have access to the client’s entity profile on the KOUNTED portal? If not,
this must be requested via ORS.
Pay Attention:
This
application form should only be used to maintain the details of existing
beneficial owners. There is a separate application form to Appoint and/or Cease
Beneficial Owners.
Submission:
Use
the Application Form “Maintain Beneficial Owner Details”
Timeline:
The
application must be submitted within 15 days from the date the change occurred
Timeframe:
KOUNTED 1-2
working days including drafting the online application, provided all the
relevant information has been provided
ADGM: 3-5
working days, returns and timeframe for approval subject to review.
Supporting documents:
1. Valid passport copy (for
individuals) Applicable if name or nationality changed
2. A certified true copy of the
Certificate of Change of Name, or any similar documents (For corporate UBO)
Applicable if name or nationality changed (Noting that foreign language
documents must be accompanied by a certified legal translation to the English
language & the certified true copy certification must be not older than
three months at the time of submission to the ADGM RA)
3. Updated register of UBOs, in
case this is requested by the ADGM RA
